Meet the Teacher
About Me
Marian Segal, M.S. Ed
I am a retired, Florida state certified teacher with 40 plus years of teaching experience, I have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I’ve taught Pre-K, Kindergarten,1st grade, 2nd grade and college during my career. I’ve also had the privilege of mentoring new teachers and presenting workshops in the community, school district and at state conferences. Additionally, I helped develop the Kindergarten curriculum, "Gateways to Reading", which was used as a resource in the school district I worked in.
I love working with children and my desire is to encourage, support and help them find success in their educational journey. I strive to incorporate activities that are motivational and fun so that they find joy in the journey.
One on One Sessions
I am licensed to teach Pre-K through 6th grade. However, I specialize in Pre-K to 2nd grade. Each tutoring session is tailored to meet your child's needs. Sessions are typically held in 60-minute increments.
Virtual Sessions
On-Line remote sessions are available on Zoom.​
Group Sessions (* Learning Pods)
*May be arranged upon request for Home School or Distant Learners
Subjects
I offer regular, personalized tutoring in Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
Location
Sessions will be held in the client’s home.
*Please have pencils, paper, crayons and scissors and a glue stick available for student use.
